Sell Block Redemption For Textron (NYSE:TXT)

For a special Wednesday edition of his “Sell Block” segment, Cramer removed CEO Lewis Campbell of Textron Inc. (NYSE:TXT) from his “Wall Of Shame.” Back on June 10. Cramer added Campbell to his Wall Of Shame when the company was having issues with a big secondary stock offering and a bond offering. The company, which operates everything from financing to private jets and helicopters to aerospace and defense, had planned the offerings in order to raise enough money to bail out its struggling financial services division. Cramer reviewed his call and said that the secondary actually ending up making investors money and he may have been too focused on Textron’s past and not its future. Campbell has completely turned the company around and the stock has soared 61% from $11 a share to $18.43, while the S&P 500 has risen just 11% over the same time period. Just today Textron reported a 5-cent earnings beat and offered rosy guidance for its fourth quarter. “For a company that looked like it was struggling to survive not that long ago,” Cramer said, “Textron does sound like it’s ready to thrive.” He explained that Campbell has turned the firm around by winding down its financial services division and focusing on its other divisions. Cramer said he hopes all CEOS on his infamous Wall Of Shame do what Campbell did, and fix their struggling firms, instead of retiring or getting fired.
