Jim Cramer’s Mad Mail: U.S. Govt. Wrong On Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C)
For the “Mad Mail” segment, Cramer told viewers he’s appalled that the U.S. government didn’t sell its stake in Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) when the stock was at $5 a share. That is the price level that Cramer advised viewers and the U.S. government to sell the stock. He explained that the government made a cardinal sin, turning a huge trading gain into an investment loss.”The U.S. government has no right to play stock market whatsoever. When you have a big gain, you take it.” Cramer said. He mentioned that the government owes the American taxpayer an apology, for not following one of the cardinal rules detailed in his book, Real Money. “I thought this was a completely shameless, shameless thing they did,” Cramer said. B.S. – you owe the American people an apology.
Jim Cramer is a mediocre entertainer at best. However, his investment advice is typically nothing more than a knee jerk with little quantitative substance to back it up. Beware with your money!
The govt. didn’t sell because of greed… not greed for money but for power.

Why should de gov. be interested in making profits if they can print money as much as they want to
