Jim Cramer Turns Bullish On Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS)
“Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) a once-despised stock on Mad Money, is now a buy,” Jim Cramer told viewers. He explained that the stock has become too hated on Wall Street, and now with shares trading just two points off the 52-week low, its just too cheap to hate any longer. Currently, there are 14 buys and 13 holds and four sells on Electronic Arts, which reflects a very negative outlook on the stock. But a key acquisition, in addition to a recovering retail sector and potentially stronger-than-expected holiday season, should help give the stock boost. On Nov. 9, the company announced the purchase of Playfish, one of the top social-gaming companies in the space for $400 million. Playfish is the industry’s number-two player and maker of games that are used on free sites like Facebook, plus it caters to over 60 million active users a month, a 96% jump in users since June. Cramer said the acquisition is a perfect fit for Electronic Art’s online subscription service POGO and its mobile division, which creates games for wireless devices. He told viewers its the future of gaming, saying the trend could help ERTS free itself from depending on expensive game consoles like Sony Corporation’s (ADR)(NYSE:SNE) PlayStation, Microsoft’s (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox or Nintendo’s Wii. Cramer said he also likes how ERTS has been cutting costs and reducing its workforce. He mentioned the stock is just too cheap, considering it has $1.6 billion in cash, or $6 a share on its balance sheet and trades for only 9.8 times its 2011 earnings. “Given the long-term growth rate is 15%, this is one incredibly cheap stock,” Cramer said. He cautioned investors not to jump into the stock because he expects the shares to take a hit form year-end tax-loss selling. Cramer said wait until 2010 to buy the stock, which is when the company should begin to reap the benefits of the Playfish deal. Get the scoop on tomorrow’s hottest trade ideas – TODAY! The increase in user accounts strongly reflect existing users creating new accounts for forum related issues. Electronic Arts misuse of these facts, maybe crossing the the limits of ‘Truth in advertising. Battle Field Heroes in general, has broken laws( American & International) with Deceitful Advertising. For Example: http://www.battlefieldheroes.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=90065 ; Ben Cousins has completely mis-manged this project and damaged ERTS brand Image.
